    Hi,

    I note this is a common problem on the S5. I have the problem on my S5 mini where the phone screen is black or on and unresponsive on phone wake up. Here are a couple of scenarios:-

    1) sometimes when the phone is woken by an alarm the screen will be on but the alarm cannot be dismissed.
    2) the power button is pressed but the screen is black even though the phone appears to be on and functioning.

    In both cases sometimes the phone recovers after 30 seconds but some times it is necessary to remove the battery.

    * after advice from Samsung I have performed a factory reset.
    * I do not have an SD card
    * no standard apps have been disabled
    * wiz is still being used

    I was using cerebus security software but this has been removed. I use profile scheduler and this will be the next test.

    The problem persists today.

    Very frustrating.
