Overheating and boot problems

Hi.
I have a problem with my galaxy s5 mini. One day i tried to charge it and it become very warm and it turned off. I tried to turn it on but i couldn't. I took the battery out several times but that didn't help. Every time i start to charge it becomes warm. What can be the problem??

Welcome to Android Central! The first thing I'd be concerned about is a faulty battery, which can get warm very quickly while charging. Try a replacement battery. You can confirm a failing battery by removing it, placing it flat on a table, and trying to spin it. If it spins freely, it's bulging in the middle, which is a bad sign. But lack of spin doesn't rule it out, so it's still worth trying a replacement.
