    Hi,

I have an Australian Samsung Galaxy S5 with baseband version G900IDVU1CPL1 and tried SM-G900I (Oceania?): CF-Auto-Root-klte-kltedv-smg900i.zip to root the S5 but when Odin went to reset, it never left the download mode with small writing on top left hand corner.

I tried taking out battery and booting using Power>Volume +>Home buttons to wipe/clear the cache but I couldn't get in repair.

I had to download Australian stock files and flash with Odin so I could get S5 to work again.

Any suggestions, is there a better or correct CF-Auto-Root file for me to use?

    Cheerz
Hello and welcome to Android Central Kenmarn!

See post #93, above. There seems to be an issue with the G900i models on the latest firmware.

To get yourself up and running, you will need to download and flash the stock Samsung firmware for your model of phone and Product code as per the instructions and video contained in the links of #1.11 of 42 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide

Hello and welcome to Android Central jdubasis!

I wiped the partition and tried the root again, but it still gets stuck at the SEANDROID ENFORCING. Do you have any other advice? I'm about ready to give up.

It goes to green and says PASS. But the phone screen never changes.

I might just flash back to Lollipop and try the first method in the video.

Just a thought... could you, as per #1.8 of 42 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide, install Phone Info Samsung and post the Product Code shown when you run the app.

    Hey Ironass,
I really appreciate all of your help. I finally got it rooted. After many attempts, and re-flashing firmware a dozen times, I found a working SuperSU.zip in which to install via Philz. The others had my phone stuck at Samsung screen at reboot. Had to just keep flashing firmware and trying new zips til I found one that worked. Ended up using Philz 6.41.6 and SuperSU v2.76. Thanks for all your help, you are the best.

There is no CF-Auto_root kernel for the G900H, non 4G, model on Android 6.0.1, as you have discovered. Therefore, you could try KingoRoot instead.
