Have you tried taking a pic from both phones during the same time and at the same angle?

This way we can see if there is a color problem with the s5. The two pics you posted are at different angles which could change the look of the pictures.

No, I haven't had that little flip phone in years. ALL the photos taken from the flip phone on that vacation are superb. Pictures taken with the S5 this year in galveston are 90% blek.

Decided to try out the 4x zoom from close range with spot modus on, no HDR due to sufficient lighting. (HDR on produces exactly the same image with full sunlight exposure)
