Not officially, no. I'm sure there will be third party battery doors that support it though

There was no mention of it. As mentioned above there will be third party or official support, likely at the expense of a small bump in size (thickness).

There were pics from yesterday's event that showed official Samsung branded wireless charging back covers and wireless chargers. So it is supported but as an added cost accessory

Which is annoying. Wireless charging should be standard and built in at this point.

Should definitely be standard if you have a cover over the USB port!

Definitely. That is definitely a concern for me - having to take the cover off every single time I charge. I suppose we also won't be able to use any charging docks, unless the cover comes all the way off the phone. I guess that is the price to pay for water resistance (although perhaps quite a first world problem), but it is an annoyance for me for sure.

I'll just end up buying a charging back so I can use my 3 wireless chargers around. Kinda like them a lot.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the only case that featured wireless charging for the S5 was the flip view cover.

They make adapters you can buy to make the regular back inductive, that way there's no added bulk. I was going to get one for my Note 3 but I got rid of my Note before I ordered the back. They run around $10 on Amazon. I would like at that before I spent the $50 on a back from Samsung especially since they make the phone physically bigger.

i am hoping that is not the case about the flip view cover. On the S4, they make regular backs that are a little bigger but fit. But I do like the Qi charging adapters.

If the S4 is any indication, there will be back covers to support wireless charging (with the S Charger Pad).
