I did and it gave me the "Custom - Unlocked Padlock" when booting -- I just switched back to Dalvik and it's back to normal.

Does it hurt the phone at all to use art? I haven't gotten my s5 yet and want to be filled in on this stuff before it gets here

It won't hurt anything. Some apps aren't written for it and may not work, but I switched to ART on day one and haven't had any issues. Supposedly it will give you marginally better performance and battery life.

Yeah, it does now that I've enabled ART.

Mine says the Custon Unlocked too, but it seems to be of no consequence. It seems to run faster to me, apps start faster. Purely subjective on my part. No problems so far.
