Right. The volume of the headphones is independent of the volume your phone outputs at. When I had my wireless Beats Studio headphones, I just turned my S5 all the way up (and had to deal with that stupid warning from Samsung that can't be removed) and then adjusted the volume of the headphones independently. That way my S5 was pumping out volume at its maximum level and my headphones would play the music at whatever volume I set them to.

That was one nice thing about my iPhone 5 (and iOS): many audio manufacturers make it so that their bluetooth headphones/speakers are able to sync their volume with the iOS device. For example, adjusting the volume of my iPhone 5 would also turn up my UE Boom (or wireless Beats Studios). Turning the volume down on my iPhone 5 would decrease the volume of said devices. Now, with my S5, turning down the volume on my phone only decreases the audio level that my phone sends to the device. It doesn't actually decrease the volume of the device.

I ended up returning my Beats Studios because of this (it was annoying to me) and purchased a wired pair of V-Moda Crossfade M-100 headphones. Now I don't have that volume-balance issue, they get really loud, and they sound a lot better than the Beats (which were a huge improvement over the previous editions).

Hi, I know this is an old post but some noobs might have a similar issue and need some info.

I really struggled with the volume with Beats Studio Wireless and android when I first got my beats. Just bought and connected, didn't read up on them etc...
If you have never been shown how to use them, you just assume plug n play etc. I then discovered that the ring on the outside of the B symbol on the left head phone controls volume etc. You can really crank the volume using this volume control. Try it... unless you want it so loud your ear drums burst, then you might be pleasantly surprised...

    Cheers

Unfortunately I discovered that the Galaxy S5 and the (Beats by Dre Studio Wireless) are not a good match. The volume is very low, and I have tried to sync the head phones with other S5's in the store and they have the same issue, however on my iPhone 5S the volume is nearly double. Some research shows that it's a software issue on the S5 that causes the problem and there is no fix. I took it to as Samsung tech in Best Buy and he could not resolve. Adjusting all the levels on the Samsung didn't do anything, even wired headphones were nearly twice as loud. I really wanted these head phones for the gym, but will have to either go wired or stay with my Jaybird Bluebuds wireless head phones.

This is a big disappointment!!! If anyone figures out a good work around, please post.
I figured out the problem!!! Turn up the volume on the headphones themselves! On the left ear, the middle "b" is the stop botton and on the circle above, the headphones have volume control without the wires! When clicking it as loud as possible, it is at a perfect level! I was confused with this as well, but put up the volume on the phone and then control the volume on the beats themselves. Volume is maxed out at a good level.

I was having the same problem with my Beats wireless on the Galaxy s7. I fixed this issue by lowering the volume on my phone manually to half, then raising the volume on my beats, then raising the volume on my phone. That seemed to fix the problem. Hope this solution helps you
