Clear RAM

Does anyone know how to clear the RAM on the GS5?

You should only clear the RAM if your phone is having performance issues. Even then, clearing the cache is much better.

As previously stated unless you're having issues you shouldn't clear RAM. It doesn't help with battery life or anything .

Just hit the Multitask button (left of the home button) and go to the task manager. You'll see a list of what is running and can clear it there.

For a long time I thought this was helping with battery. I did some reading yesterday and quit doing it. Today I am noticing my battery is lasting longer without the phone having to go back and reopen apps from scratch. It will clear things as needed on its own.

If you follow this It should be the same. Not the same visual but should be the same effect. Even warns you that ending them this way can cause problems.

Edit: can always download download a 3rd party app if these ways are not to your liking.

This should be working add you can see the ram go up and down as you end them all

Don't. I thought using task killer, ram killers, one tap cleaning etc was doing something good for my phone. It wasn't. These devices work best when ram is almost to the max. My phone is so quick now and has zero lag. Zero lag. My friend has a new iPhone, I can open ten apps before she can open five. Before hers was slightly quicker. There should be zero lag if you just let the phone do what it was meant to do.

It is not the same. It is actually the opposite.
