So I recently bought the dev edition of the s5 from samsung.
Since it'll already be rooted, how will this facilitate unlimited tethering?
which tethering method would be the fastest?

Why do you think that the developer edition will be rooted ?

Well it comes with the bootloader already unlocked, so pretty simple to flash SU after that

If you pay for the unlimited hotspot, the stock hotspot app will work. No modification or tweaking needed.

yes, but if the root is achievable, I'd rather save the extra 30. and still have the ability to tether.

Doesn't foxfi work on it without needing root?

IVE heard of some people having issues with the new kitkat update while trying to use foxfi/pdanet.
since ppl on currently promoted plans have tethering included. and ppl on udp are not

But the developers of foxfi have updated their app to support samsung phones on kitkat. Those having issues may be people who have other phones I believe.

FoxFi works just fine on the S5, even on Verizon which I am.
