there is zero chance that the S5 Active will make it to Verizon, right?

I have my fingers crossed as I would pick it up in a second but I doubt it will make it to big red. I don't think they had the S4 active either.

I read the announcement that AT&T is going to have the Active. Per usual we'll have to wait and see about Verizon. :(

The S5 is water resistant though :?.

Yes, the S5 is water resistant. I believe it's something like up to 3ft for 30 mins?

I had work paying for an iPhone for me and decided to separate my work / life and just got the Active. Was a little bummed I had to only choose AT&T tho. Chose the Active over the regular because I liked the built in case/slightly more rugged and the extra buttons. Yea, I'm still into buttons.

I have Otterbox Defender cases on ALL of my phones. :)

However, it's not quite the same.... Not to mention the
lack of water resistance.

S5 is water resistant. I know what you mean, but personally I would put a case on it anyway.

Verizon needs to have a rugged smartphone.... no, the sorry Casio ones don't count. :)

Why not? We thought it was the perfect phone for my wife who just cannot seem to keep a phone from hitting the tile floors.

it lasted almost six months. Expensive phone, waste of money.
