post up your on screen time. do you have sync on?

I am a control freak guy....

When I am not using my phone, I turn off the internet.
ie, no data, wifi, sync, nada......

that stops just about everything from sucking your battery dry.

I leave the gps on high accuracy mode, I have found that to have negligible effect on overall battery life.

doing it that way you will get very good battery life..... all day long and still have 85-90% left at the end of the day.... until you turn ON access to the internet..

That is when the battery starts getting sucked dry.
video streaming, music streaming, etc... online games, etc...

Thanks for the input. I used to get over 4 hours screen on time with no problems. I will try some of the above. How many hours do you normally get with screen on time?

For having 28% left and almost 14 hours since last charge, I don't think that is too bad. Of course I'm still fairly new to the S5 but still learning.

If you have one, I guarantee that it's sd card related.

Back it up, format it on the phone then put your files back on it.

You should post your max screen on time again without the charger on.

Your screen on time is too good to be true. These phones max on screen time should be around 7 hour-ish.

I also have battery drain. There's also like 50 or more processes running in the background. Is this normal?

you need to upload your on screen time. otherwise we don't know how to judge it..

Thanks to pain fx my battery seems to be working a lot better. The 2 biggest turn arounds were turning sync off and when using WiFi turning mobile data off.

I'm having some similar issues. Last night I went to sleep with the phone at about 55%, woke up at 25%. I can get two days out of it, sometimes. It just depends on things I don't know. But today, it seemed to die rather quickly. I did download a few app updates, but not much else. I'm using Nova Launcher Prime.

Today, as it sits, its at 40% with 12h 40 min on the batt,
22% Screen with 1hr 2 min on time
Android System 19%
Android OS 15%
Cell Standby 8%
WiFi 5%
Device Idle 5%

Then down from there. (sorry for no screen caps, having a hard time getting them to sync up to post)

Turning off "smart network switching" and "sync" seems to be helping a lot with my previous battery drain problem.
