att s5 root but sd card not registering

I rooted my galaxy s5 about 2 weeks ago with towel root and I'm having problems with my sd card. Could these be related? Want having any issues until about a week ago. I love my root though. Another random question is where do I turn off restriction of background data? It is blanked out in my days usage settings. Help!

Have you tried another SD card to make sure it isn't a problem with that specific card?
