New update citing 'Performance Updates' upgraded me to ART?

Hi Guys

have a G900F

Got a performance update today, but i can see now as it's upgrading that it's doing the 'Android is upgrading' thing that it does when you switch from Dalvik to ART

Does this now mean that they are using ART for future versions?

Just for a little more detail, it is XXU1ANG2 Update.

I have been playing with it and it does appear to be quite a bit faster - less lag (though there wasnt much)

I had recently compared the speed of opening apps to my old HTC One X and the HTC Won - however now after this update, the S5 is winning in speed

I'm in NYC with Vz and we are always among the last to get pushed OTA updates.

Hiya,

I am in the UK and I am on Vodafone, I have a stock g900f handset (not carrier branded)

I have the Qualcomm handset if that makes any difference (I know that there was one with an exynos chip which is meant to be faster I think, but Mine is pretty fast anyhow)

Just found out it hasnt upgraded it to ART after all. Still seems faster though and there are a few changes. for example there are diagrams showing the differences between the pattern lock options, also there is a new colour scheme thing for the pattern lock. Not sure of any other changes but will update as I find out
