Problem with listening to music using earphones

I have a regular problem listening to music using earphones on my S5. For some reason the volume suddenly turns to zero and when I turn it up a few seconds later the sound turns off again. Can anyone help?

hmm... that's weird have you tried looking at the volume buttons I think there may be something stuck over the earphones volume button !! I would say why don't you walk over the store and seek replacement if its covered under warranty which I am sure will be ! ... :O I am sure its defective earphones...
