Issue with Gallery

I had an update on my Verizon S5 about a week ago. And since then, every time I save a photo from either Facebook or even my email it doesn't show up in the gallery. Before the update I would save a picture and it would show up in my gallery immediately. Now it doesn't. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

When you download those photos, can you find them in the Download folder? Are they the actual image file, or some small blank file? Sometimes (and I don't know why), downloaded image files from some sites don't successfully download--all that you get is some very small file without anything in it.

The pictures would show up in the folder. And they wouldn't be blank. But now they don't even show up at all like I never downloaded it

Can you find the actual file in the Download folder? Use a file manager app to look for them.

Yes the file shows up in the downloads folder but not in the gallery.

And if you select the picture file in the Downloads folder, it will display normally?

You could try going to the App Manager, selecting Gallery, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Close. Then reopen Gallery, and wait for it to repopulate.

No, the pictures are separate image files. Clearing the app cache will clear out temporary data, while clearing the data will erase the gallery database only. When you open Gallery again, it will scan your folders again for images to populate its database with.
