I have to unlock phone before I can answer call

This is actually my wife's S5 that's doing this. When an incoming call comes in the answer screen will appear for a second, then the lock screen pops up over top of it and you can't answer without unlocking first. This only started after the last OTA a week ago. Her S5 isn't rooted and nothing is disabled. I've tried removing the PIN and putting it back, going to a different lock method, changing the lock times and nothing is working.

My S5 is not doing it, but mine is rooted and I haven't taken the OTA.

Any suggestions?

Do a battery pull and if that doesn't work, clear the partition cache and see if that helps... sometimes files get corrupted.

I have the same problem. How do you "clear the partition cache"?

a guru will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you hold Volume Down, Home Key, and Power Button all at the same time with the phone powered off.

Follow the menus to clear the partition cache.

The above is for a HTC phone,

this is the one for the S5 phone we have.
There is a considerable difference in the two methods.
