Both processors are basically achieving the same thing. The snapdragon is commonly used in the US market due to the flexibility that is offered for the amount of bands it covers to accommodate the different carriers. The Exynos is found internationally and is also " Samsung's " own brand and often ranks a bit higher in the benchmarks, but as many have said for years benchmarks and real world performance is two different things.
