    I started getting screen issues out of the blue a few days ago. First screen was hazy then it went berserk flashing with lines across it. Took it to the Samsung store to be told this was an S5 known issue. Because it is waterproof the case is glued together so it is a lengthy process getting inside. They have sent it to Carphone Warehouse to be fixed and will be a least 10 days possibly 20. I am told that Apple would simply have replaced the phone so this is poor from Samsung. Be aware.

    You really need to read the warranty cards more closely. Yes, unfortunately, this is standard warranty process for most manufacturers, whether we like it or not. But, it's all there in the lengthy warranty cards and info packets that most of us just throw away with the box, so...

    Apple will not always replace the phone unless you have their premium warranty coverage, which comes at a premium.
