Vibration Pattern & Length per Application

Hi all-

Recent convert from iOS to Android and got the S5. Loving the change thus far, especially the customization.

One item I can't figure out though is how to alter the length and pattern of vibration notifications and apply them to specific applications. For instance, when I receive a text I get a short vibration ping. But when I get an email (from the GMail app) it gives me a long 3-4 second vibration. Way too long in my opinion.

How do I alter these? I have figured out how to do custom vibrations for specific people in my address book when they call but can't find the link to do this with apps.

Go into setting and sound, check vibrations for calls and notifications.
Hope this is what your trying to do.

I edited my original post to say I am using the Gmail app, not the native email app.

I use Lightflow for notification control. It's pretty simple to use but offers a lot of customization options for all of your different apps.
