I've been attempting to use S Health on my new S5 and it seems accurate when walking, however when I ride the subway it is grossly inaccurate. I assume it uses GPS somehow in conjunction with the pedometer? For example, yesterday I took about 300 steps to the train, rode the subway from my house in Brooklyn to Union Square, walked maybe 200 steps to transfer to another uptown train, exited at 86th Street, then walked 3 blocks over to the Met - maybe another 500 steps. It then congratulated me for walking some 13,000+ steps. Is there anything that can be done other than "pause" the app every time I use the subway? Seems every time I ride the train it gives me steps for the distance traveled on it rather than actual steps I took. I rarely ride the bus and don't have a car, so I haven't experienced it on anything but the train. Just wondering if this is normal behavior. Thanks!
