Why is my Facebook app continuing to sync with my contacts?

facebook app keeps syncing with contacts

How do I keep facebook from syncing with my contacts? Several times a day, I have to go into the app settings and uncheck the 'sync with existing contacts' box and check the 'remove facebook data' box but it keeps going back and syncing my contacts anyways. Anyone else have this problem?

its in settings somewhere. maybe try uninstalling fb and messenger reinstall and it might ask during setup. i know this is very annoying i dug around and fixed it on mine but i just got a replacement s5 and its doing it again so after i fix mine maybe i will reply to ya how to do it. but i assure you its in there!

Have you tried doing it from the Accounts section in your Settings (not from inside the app)?
