    I have Win 8.1 and Galaxy S5.
I cannot seem to transfer to the pc well. Do I need a driver or some installation in both pc and phone?
I have tried Keis and Verizon's software but they are not working well.
I can get to Samsung in the PC and with a right click can import photos and videos. However docs are have not been tried.
    Thank you for you help.
It is suggested that I need drivers but all seems to be running well.

Peter... I'm also on Windows 8.1.

If you want to transfer files to and from internal memory, I find that WiFi File Transfer Pro is a great tool, as it enables you to move material back and forth very quickly - wirelessly. For transfer to / from a memory card, you'll need to use Samsung Kies, as Google changed access regulations to the memory card with the advent of KitKat, hence WiFi File Transfer won't work. Kies, obviously, requires a cable connection. Make certain you have the correct version of Kies installed on your PC. There are versions for older systems and one for newer. You want the newer version. Once you make the Kies connection, use Windows Explorer to actually move data.

    Hope this helps.
