Stock Samsung messaging app and group messages

OK, I can't seem to figure this one out.
I have created a group from my normal contacts, and now i'm trying to send an MMS text to them, and it is sending some of the messages to their email address instead of their phones. (The group has email addresses and mobile numbers)

How do I configure the app to just send texts, not emails?

I would suggest making sure the default method of contact for each person is their mobile number. see if that helps?
