Last night, I went to bed with 30% battery. Because I tend to lose 15-20% overnight (approx. 8 hours), I turned on UPSM. I woke up before my alarm this morning and checked my phone for the time, only to see I had 1% battery. Thankfully, I had a backup alarm, because the phone was dead 30 minutes later when the alarm should have went off. I went from 3.7 days approx. battery life on UPSM to dead.
From my understanding, UPSM is supposed to turn data off if the screen is off, correct? If it doesn't, I found my culprit as my apartment gets horrible data connection for being in a city, so it would be continuously searching for that connection. If it should turn it off, why did UPSM not work? Nothing came through during the night (calls, sms, etc.). Thanks for the insight!
