After sending a text with the factory text message app the text froze in sending mode. The app will not open now and I get a very quick error message stating that "unfortunately Messages has stopped". A couple minutes ago an error message popped up that says "Car Mode has stopped". I hadn't even done anything with Car Mode! But low and behold it now doesn't work. A camera icon has mysteriously shown up on my lock screen. I have had my Galaxy S5 for less than a month and I am very quickly falling out of love!!!!

Welcome to Android Central! Does a reboot help? Or go to the App Manager, select Messaging, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. (Be aware that this might erase any saved text messages.)

You could also try wiping the system cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10404
