why cant i RECIEVE LONG texts anymore??

Hi guys! Ok im on three (uk) and just recently switched from iphone 4s to samsung s5! I absolutley LOVE this phone ive loaded it with a 128gb memory card and im thrilled with it only problem is my textes as is many many other peoples problems! Ok so when i left iphone i turned imessage off i deleted my phone from apple support i texted stop to that number, i deleted payment info on itunes n logged out, i changed my phone on the three website ive litrally done more or less everything n i cant get long textes! By long i mean anything over a line or 2! Ive had my iphone friends check there settings delete my number delete my threads n nothing! Its very annoying im actually on the verge of getting a iphone back! Now my problem isnt ALL texts its longer ones. Ive had friends text this by sending me a short text n a long one as ive been sat by there side n only the short ones came through. I can send long texts no problem no just not recieve them. But i am able to recieve short texts including iphone users just not long ones i dont understand why this is happening? I cant find much on google about this only people who cant recieve any texts what so ever does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks in advance xxx

In iMessage there's some setting (a checkbox? I don't know, I don't use fruit for my phone) to send an iMessage as SMS. Have each of your iPhone friends send you one message that way. That marks you, in their phone, as an SMS receiver.

Blame Apple. They (and by "they" I mean Steve Jobs) had to invent a different messaging protocol, then refuse to allow anyone else to use it. So, while the entire world - except Apple - uses SMS/MMS, Apple insists on using their proprietary protocol and keeps promising to fix the incompatibilities. (Maybe your great-grandchildren will live to see it happen.)

Hey Rukbat, ive already tried this, when u set your iphone to imessage a sort of side checkbox appears n one option is "send as sms if imessage unavailable" had a few of my iphone friends do this still no luck ive litrally tried everything! Why do we get punished for leaving iphone lol! Like i say though the shorter messages come through its just the longer length ones its as if they vanish! Very frustrated xxx
