Galaxy S5 video to micro sdhc to Blu-ray player

Transferred video files from Galaxy S5 to micro sdhc card. The card is plugged into my laptop. After transfer, plugged card into my Panasonic Blu-ray (DMP-BDT330) player with no success. The files (MP4 movie) appeared on the screen but they would not play. The micro card is a Transcend 8gb class 10. What am I doing wrong?

The manual shows that the blu-ray player can read the following files from an SDHC memory card: MP4, AVCHD, AVCHD 3D, JPEG, MPO. The files that were transferred from the Galaxy S5 to micro SDHC are labeled MP4 movie. How can I convert these (video) files to one of the formats listed above without losing the HD (1080p) quality?
