Galaxy S5 Earphone Mic Very Sensitive

Hello all,

I've had this issue with the mic on the earphones (the GS5 earphones) ever since I bought the phone. No matter who I'm talking to (mostly the gf) they can hear everything I'm doing (ex: walking around, typing, when I move just a little bit to get comfortable) they say its like I'm in a construction zone.

Is there a way to change the sensitivity of the mic on the earphone? I bought new skull candies today hoping the problem was with the original earphones but it didn't work and I still have the problem. I even switched earphones with my girlfriend and no luck. Is this a software problem with the noise reduction?

Is there a way to change the sensitivity of the mic on the earphone?

Other than by covering the mic with something sound-absorbent? Not without opening it up and adding a little resistor network.

Is this a software problem with the noise reduction?

It could just be that the S5 has a very high gain mic channel. Or that your S5 is defective.

So theres nothing within the phone that I can change?
