First, I have an S5 on Verizon and my phone is not actually lost. My coworker lost his S4 and it got me started trying to use the built in device location services. I can't for the life of my figure this out and I'd say that I'm pretty good with android. I have tried the Samsung "findmymobile" and enabled the Verizon protection suite but either way I cant get them to tell me where my phone is.

Any help is appreciated. I'm sure there is something simple here I am not seeing.

I am not familiar with either service, but you can set up Android Device Manager from Google. Once you do, you can monitor from a PC.

Thank you. Googled android device manager and found my S5, Nexus 7, work computer, home computer, and old HTC thunderbolt. Worked like a charm. Cheers

No sweat. See you around the forums, and Happy Holidays (if you celebrate).
