    For some odd reason, my AT&T Galaxy S5 Active began to give me issues with my earbuds mic.. I have tested the earbuds to make sure they did not break using my other phone (Nexus 5), and all is well with the earbuds/mic.. It has worked fine for the past year, now, its no longer working.. People simply can not hear me... any idea why this is happening? I have tried to restart, and no result.. This just happened about 2 days ago..

    Welcome to Android Central! Can you test other earbuds on your S5? If multiple earbuds have the same problem, then check the headphone jack for debris. Use a damp toothpick to root around, or a can of compressed air to blow it out.

    yes thank you I tried that and still no one can hear me. I can hear them but they can't hear me.

    Sorry, can you clarify what you tried? Multiple different headphones, or trying to clean out the jack, or both?

    Sounds like a defective jack or a motherboard problem to me. Something for a repair shop to diagnose.
