Screen blinks red when I select something and there are words scrolling on the top right side of my

I unplugged my phone from my computer (it was connected as a media device), and now I am have words scrolled along the right side of my screen and the edges of my phone blink red when I select something. Does anyone know what this issue is and how to fix it?

Do you have any developer options enabled? I'm not sure exactly where it is on a Samsung phone, but near the bottom of your settings, there should be something that says developer options. If not, go into "About Phone" and tap the build number a couple of times, go back to settings and see if developer options showed up. If it did, scroll down and uncheck something along the lines of "show surface updates". in general, nothing in that menu needs to be activated unless you actually are a developer. Hope this helps!
