If it's email, there are email programs (running on a computer) that can delete everything at once. If you want to selectively delete email, Thunderbird is pretty good. Sort by sender and delete all the junk from that company that begs you to buy its product every day with a click. Sort by date ascending and delete everything older than 3 months. Etc.
Then go to your webmail page (the page on the web from which you can access your mail) and set up some filters, so the "Contribute to ..." junk gets deleted on receipt. Like Al Gore is actually sending me personal emails.
