I've always had all my Samsung smartphones's "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" setting set to "Never" and never had a problem. After the phone wakes up(either by pressing the power or home button), it will automatically connect to my home wi-fi router.
After the Lollipop, this doesn't work anymore. When I wake up the phone, it will just give me a message in the notification panel that tells me wi-fi network is available. I have to manually go into the wi-fi menu and re-connect to the same home wi-fi router.
Is there a way around this? (other than setting it the "Always"?)
I have two identical Verizon Galaxy S5 phones. The problem only applies to the one that I allowed to update to Lollipop.
Thanks!
