    My S5 has been excellent on stand by battery prior to 4.4.4 update a few weeks ago. It didn't matter much whether I keep WiFi radio on/off regardless of connecting to WiFi point. Now it seems like it's taking rapid drain if I leave WiFi on when it's not connected to any wifi points. It makes Android systems skyrocket on battery info page. I always had "smart network switching", "scanning always" off, so that's not the cause.

    Does anyone have similar issue with S5 on at&t? Did factory reset resolve it?

    The phone is under warranty. Bring it to an AT&T Device Support Center and let them worry about it. (That's one reason many of us pay more to have AT&T - great service when we need it.)

    Just make sure everything is backed up - they may not want to waste their time, and they'll just give you a working phone.

    I use to get about 18 hours to 1 day on battery and now with 4.4.4 I get no more than 12-13 hours with screen on time with about 3-5 hours

    Swapping the phone is the last thing I want to do because I believe my phone is fine hardware wise. I was looking to see if anyone with similar issue solved it through some software method.

    Still it's ok on battery drain if I remember to toggle WiFi off every time I leave my wifi connection area. But it's annoying as I didn't have to do this before 4.4.4
