Why does my phone send half old texts?

I send a text to someone and they reply saying they're confused as to what I'm talking about... The text is exactly how I've wrote it on my device but when they send me back what they've received its half of the correct text and half of an old one?

This is also happening to me. I just got a new phone and figured this maybe the issue as the old texts its sending attached to the new ones are from old convos on my other sony xperia.. now i have the new sony xperia ..

Wondering why and if anyone can help out with some sort of explanation???
