    Worked fine lastnight, woke up to the screen not responding and the charger not being recognized as a "Samsung charger or battery" message (but they're the same ones that came with the phone and have been working up until now). I did the factory reset and still nothing... any idea?

    Also wondering why it says I'll get an answer in 5 mins or less, but my posts don't even get viewed on here... I guess I'm going to the Verizon store? :/

    Welcome to AC.

    You seemed to have posted the same question in rapid succession....four times? That makes it difficult to know which one to respond to.
    I'm thinking that if you had the charger plugged in overnight, the battery failed and/or there is a fault with the USB lead and/or a fault or dirt in the USB port.

    Welcome to the forums. I would try a different cable. Also, when users are new, posts go into moderation for review. this will stop at either 10 or 20 posts.

    I did NOT leave the phone charging while I was asleep... it was working perfectly and left on as I slept, which is pretty much how it is every night. When I woke up, it was at around 18% battery life. The touch screen wouldn't work, AS WELL AS the charger... the charger couldn't be the problem because it still allows me to transfer files through my laptop using the same cable, it just won't charge. The Verizon store said I needed to call tech support, and tech support is sending me another Galaxy S5 which should be here tomorrow. They are sending it without a battery or a sim card, "assuming it's an internal problem with the phone itself" ... I patiently await the phones arrival tomorrow, but am skeptical because like I said, it's not just the screen, but charge function that won't work. Wish me luck.
