Why isn't my wifi scanning any networks when it is turned on, on Samsung S5?

Wifi is not scanning any networks when it is turned on, on Samsung S5

2 weeks ago my wifi wasn't even turning on, no matter what i tried, the wifi button was always on off.

Then today it just randomly worked and I was able to turn on my wifi, it allowed me to use my wifi network for 5 min.

I decided to turn the wifi off then on again, and now it doesnt scan for networks. So even though my wifi is on, there are no list of networks I can choose to join.


edit: Smart network switch is always off, because mobile data is always disabled for me, Also i cannot find reply button.

Is smart switch on in your WiFi settings? Cut it off

Yes, smart network switch is disabled on my phone because mobile data is disabled, so its never on

try pulling your battery or just turning the phone on and then back off let me know if that helps

That didn't work, that's the first thing I tried to do.
Is there anything else that could have caused it.
