OTA Update for Verizon GS5 - FoxFi Still Working?

I just received an OTA update for my stock Verizon GS5. Can any Verizon FoxFi users with grandfathered unlimited data confirm whether FoxFi Still works after this update? I'm terrified to lose tethering capability with my unlimited data plan!

Yes ....the FoxFI app still works with the new Lolipop 5.0 update on Verizon wireless. I'm grandfather on the unlimited plan and there are no side effects from the update.

The G900VVRU1B0D5 update was withdrawn by Verizon a few weeks ago and has been replaced by the dreaded Verizon OE1 update. See, Verizon OE1 update prevents rooting/downgrading

On a Verizon, G900V, phone, unless you are rooted... NO! See my previous link...

WARNING! Verizon are rolling the OE1 update out to customers and unless you are already rooted and have disabled OTA updates, there is no way of stopping it.

You can only decline for so long until it is automatically downloaded and forced on to your phone.

One problem about not upgrading in future is that you will not receive the latest bugfixes and security patches against the latest virus and malware nasties such as, say, "Stagefright", among other things.

As we say in my country.... Verizon have you by the meat and 2 veg!

There is one ray of hope if you root your phone now, you can, carefully, update to OE1 and retain root...
