    Hi everyone,

I have just become the second owner of a Samsung S5, really good condition cosmetically however I there is no sound coming from the speaker.
I have reset it twice and still no luck.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

I will try that when I get home, I havent seen the headphone logo at the top of the phone though recently. Still worth a try I guess.

I gave it a go and still no change, the earphone works no problem. The volume down button doesnt do anything either. I stripped the unit down and put it back together but still no joy. Any ideas anyone?. The message also pops up stating check the battery cover is fitted correctly, this happens every time I turn the device on, not sure if thats right or not.

Sounds like a possible volume key problem if physical vol down does nothing, can you change the volume from settings > sounds and notifications ?

The battery cover warning is normal yea, happens on boot, and every time you unplug anything USB, pretty annoying
