How to unfreeze a Samsung Galaxy S5 (in Facebook)

I was reading my Facebook feed and my screen/phone is totally frozen up. Can't shut it down or get anything to move. I tried holding both up and down volumes at the same time and other combinations with no luck. Can anyone help me? I am not super tech savvy but can hold my own.

Take the battery out for couple minutes.

Just holding the power button down for about 30 seconds should cause the phone to restart. (That works on phones that don't have removable batteries too.)
