My girlfriend bought a GS5 on VZW a few months ago and has enjoyed it a lot thus far. However, she just told me that she got a notification forcing her to choose a time to upgrade her device to lollipop, so at 5PM today her phone is expected to update itself. After hearing the woes of lollipop (esp for VZW GS5), I advised that she try to hold off on it until it's resolved. Is there anything she can do to prevent this from happening? I told her to check in about phone but she said she doesn't see anything relevant. How can they force someone into a potentially disastrous update like this? This is insane. Any help is appreciated!
