VZW Lollipop - Wifi works on SOME networks
So, like a lot of you, I updated to Lollipop and suddenly my home wifi wasn't up to snuff. I tried 2 factory resets to no avail. However, I noticed when I was out that the Wifi on my phone was perfectly functional on some networks but not others. It worked well at Kroger and McDonalds while it was painfully slow at home, work, and Whole Foods.
I have 2 routers at home. I pulled the old netgear out of the closet and hooked it up, and sure enough, my phone was lightning fast. Turned netgear off, plugged the other one back in, and the S5 is slow again. My husband has a VZW S4 on KitKat and his worked perfectly fine on both networks. This makes no sense to me. Why would the wifi work when I use my netgear but not my newer router?
