I am constantly getting notifications that my phone is out of storage. The biggest storage eater is Miscellaneous files, but when I go in there the files listed do NOT add up to the 6.33GB it says is there. I do have quite a bit of pictures, because every time I put them on an SD card they get corrupted, so there goes that method of storage. I have used several different SD cards, formatted each one before use, etc. I have hardly any apps installed. I am getting really frustrated and tempted to ditch my Galaxy S5 in the toilet.

I am also running into this issue. I think it is from an unruly, wild app. What carrier do you have? I think there is a problem with my voice mail app from Verizon. There are hundreds of log files with XML information trying to access my accounts. Is this a bug or virus?

I tried to connect my device to my computer, but I'm unable to offload files anymore. Please help.

    Try this, it may help.
Open the phone app and dial
    *#9900#
    Press "delete dumpstate/logcat".
    Hit "ok".
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap "exit".
This should open up some storage space. Good luck. 👍

I have tried this and nothing changed. I have a Galaxy S5, never had this issue on my S3. I have a micro SD card, I've tried deleting files, pics, etc...to no avail.
Now I have a software update and it says "No Available Space to Download".
Does anyone have a real solution to this problem????

#1 Go into settings, storage, and clear cached data by pressing and holding cached data indicator.
#2 Go into settings, application manager, swipe to SD card and make sure all the boxes are checked.
#3 Install and use application SD Maid.
    Delete old and unimportant emails.
A screenshot of your storage setting, including SD storage, would help.

Yea, heavy and a bottle of bread.
