My Samsung s5 saves advertisements

Every time I connect my Samsung Galaxy s5 to my laptop to transfer photos, it always moves over picture and video advertisements probably from apps. My worry is that they're taking up space on my storage, but I can't seem to find them on my phone...

Those images are cached by the browser or other apps--it's normal behavior. Cached data can take up space, so if you're running really low, you can clear the app caches by going to Settings>Storage, tapping Cached Data, and agreeing to clear it.

When you connect to your computer, don't use the Windows Import Photos function, because it indiscriminately imports all images on the phone--even cached browser images and thumbnails. It's better to use Windows Explorer to manually select the photos you want to copy, and drag and drop.
