Why haven't I received the Android Lollipop update yet for my Galaxy S5 (SM G900F)?

Didn't received android lollipop update yet for my galaxy s5 (SM G900F)

i have a Samsung Galaxy s5 (model number : SM G900F/ Build number : KOT49H.G900FXXU1ALN1) and my current android version is android 4.4.2. i hv checked for new Android lollipop version but my OTA updating is says that " The latest update have already been installed"
i hv tryed both ways OTA and Kies but i don't received any update for lollipop.. i want to upgrade to lollipop and please help me..( my friend's galaxy s5 (SM G900F) has received android lollipop update before a month ago but i don't received yet )

Your eligibility to receive the Lollipop update on your worldwide, G900F, model of Galaxy S5 is determined by your phone's CSC code. See #1.8 of 40 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide for how to obtain your phone's, "Version", details, including the CSC code. Post your full, "Version", details and country and I will check for you.

There is no Android 5.0, Lollipop, release as yet for the G900F on CSC code OJV and Product code XSG for the United Arab Emirates.

Samsung however, have released the following in the last 10 days for CSC code OJV and the UAE should be soon....

There is no separate CSC code for the Lebanon. Install, Phone INFO ★Samsung★, free from the Play Store and post a screenshot of the info under the heading... "CSC CODE".

The answer to your problem is glaringly obvious.

Your phone was originally on the carrier unbranded firmware for Israel, ILO. At some stage it then had a totally different firmware for unbranded United Kingdom, BTU, flashed to it on NG2 for Android 4.4.2. This, as per the warning in #1.11 of 41 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide, prevented any further updates via OTA or Kies.

Hardly Samsung's fault I think you will agree?

But I bought the phone new. Just the way it is... would I have to load the new version manually as per your link, making sure I have the right version?

Where did you buy it new from?

It was originally on Israeli firmware and has subsequently been flashed to UK firmware a year or so ago. See #1.10 of 41 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide. Vendors have been known to do this. Was it purchased from a shop or on the web?

A shop in Eilat, Israel. My phone was stolen a few days before and I replaced it. It was given to me in its sealed box.

Sealed or not, the firmware has quite plainly been altered from Israel to UK. A matter to take up with the vendor. It does explain why you have not had any updates though.

You can try them but it is only your word that it was altered prior to your purchase. Give them as much info as possible. Alternatively, you could flash either the latest ILO, Irael, firmware yourself, if you wish to receive OTA or Kies firmware updates or, you can flash the latest UK firmware but this will need to be updated manually each time there is an update. The instructions for downloading and flashing are in the links of #1.11 of 41 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide.

If I flash the South African firmware, I would have to manually update every time much like the UK firmware. Would there be any benefit to flashing a slightly newer version? I feel like the easier option is better?
