How do I zoom in when taking pictures with my Samsung S5?

how do i zoom when taking pictures with my samsung 5 s

I have 3 modes - Auto, beauty face, panorama. I cannot zoom pictures in any of those modes.

Welcome to AC.

When using the Camera app, plant two fingers on the display, and move them further apart. This should have the zoom effect. Moving them closer should unzoom.
You may get similar effects by swiping a single finger across the screen.
Also, a zoom scale indicating the degree of magnification may appear temporarily on the screen.
