Large Miscellaneous files

If I go to Storage on the S5, the miscellaneous category shows more than 5GB in size but when I click on it and add all the files I get less than 500 MB... what gives? I get alerts that my storage is running low and I should delete some older pictures. Why do that when I could get rid of the misc files (all 5GB of them)

In most Samsung phones the system files are included under miscellaneous. Not much you can do about that.
