Welcome to Android Central! Do you keep your receipts anywhere? Where'd you buy it from? Purchase date isn't going to be on your phone anywhere.

Your carrier (or the store you bought it from if you didn't buy it from the carrier) will have the record.

This is an old thread but I recently was faced with the same problem and not had the receipt at hand so in case someone else stumbles across this thread in search for the answer (as I did), here's a possible solution:

Unless the phone is a gift you probably set it up on the day of purchase and Google Play will show the date when the phone was registered at the Play Store. Just log in at Google Play and click on 'settings'.
