my galaxy s5 is updating and my phone icon disappeared. is that normal?

My galaxy s5, is updating and the phone icon (to make phone calls) disappeared. Is it to do that???

Welcome to Android Central! Open the App Drawer, and look for the Dialer or Phone app. Long press is and drag it back to the Favorites Tray on the homescreen.
