Galaxy S5 Phone App doesn't work, Unfortunately Contacts has stopped working

On my Samsung Galaxy S5, the Phone app doesn't work....when I dial a single number, the keypad stops responding....after a few seconds, the statement "Unfortunately, Contacts has stopped" appears. Help, I can't use my phone!

I'm getting the same thing on my wife's phone. I factory reset the phone and that worked for a couple of hours. It's back now. I'm going to try that Google+ disable I read about. I'll report back.
